X-Ray Destruction
Reducing Risk For The Life Cycle of Your Information
X-Rays are part of a patient’s confidential information and are protected under HIPAA. Disposal of film must be done in a way that preserves the confidentiality of the information. X-Rays also contain hazardous material that is toxic to the environment and human health if not disposed of properly.
Crown Information Management is the right choice for the destruction of x-rays. Our process protects both patient and the environment. To protect the patient’s information all, x-ray jackets are removed and destroyed. The x-rays are washed in a chemical solution and the silver extracted. The left-over PET clear plastic will be cleaned and then be recycled.
