Reducing Risk For The Life Cycle of Your Information
Our planet is important and preserving our natural resources is even more important! That’s why Crown Information Management is working to reduce our carbon footprint. Crown recycles 100% of the paper material collected. This results in over 300 tons of paper, per month, being recycled.
Each ton (2000 pounds) of recycled paper can save 17 trees, 380 gallons of oil, three cubic yards of landfill space, 4000 kilowatts of energy, and 7000 gallons of water. This represents a 64% energy savings, a 58% water savings, and 60 pounds less of air pollution! Our planet is important and preserving our natural resources is even more important! That’s why Crown Information Management is working to reduce our carbon footprint. Crown recycles 100% of the paper material collected. This results in over 320 tons of paper, per month, being recycled. Last year we recycled 3840 tons of paper.

We have also partnered with the National Arbor Day Foundation & The Division of Forestry to replant 365 trees a year. That’s 5390 trees planted since the inception of the program. Every 17 trees saved or replanted absorbs about 50,000 pounds of carbon dioxide a year from the air. When Crown Information Management destroys E-Waste, all confidential information is eradicated and renders the item unusable. Electronic items that are no longer usable are recycled through an advanced process that separates raw materials.
E-waste represents only 2% of landfill waste but it totals over 70% of toxic waste. Examples of e-waste include personal computers and laptops, hard drives, monitors, CD’s, DVD’s, magnetic tape, scanners, fax machines, business machines, medical equipment, and x-rays. These recycled commodities are then used to manufacture new items saving our earth’s valuable resources!
